Must Read For Indian & Chinese Members True History of Bodhidharma Life

The founder of Buddhism was an Hindu is not relevant. So what's your point?
I never said laughing buddha was known as second buddha.
This is what I said "Bodhidharma was not to be the second Buddha. The next Buddha, future Buddha is Maitreya, also known as the laughing Buddha."
I think you really need to go school and learn.
Or you have some form of learning difficulty.
That's it. END OF.
Don't worry i got it :D I know people were just jealous :p

I just want to know about Bodhidharma and i found that all members other from China and India are just talking SHIT and don't know anything

The account of Bodhidarhma is layered with many legends and myths:

1) No, Shaolin wasn't founded by him, the temple existed long before him.

2) He had no relation to Shaolin Kung Fu either, if you go by academic source from Kenji Tokitsu, Tang Hao.....

3) However, there're evidence to suggest he was the founder of Chan Buddhism, albeit some discrepancies.

The article you posted also revealed a contradiction, if Bodi did come from a Brahman family, he can't be of Kshatriya warrior caste.

Let me just clear some things up for you, In the real cast system of the old days, cast was not by birth it was based on the occupation you do.

i.e. if you devote your life to the service of god they were called a Bhramin.
all worriors were called a Kshatriyas
people involved in trade as Vayshyas
and people who serve other people were shudras

i.e. the varnas were a classification based on occupation not by birth right.. eventually people became greedy and ended up making it as a birth right and it became the cast system of today..

So basically Bodhi Dharma was born in a Bhramin family but chose the path of a Kshatriya...

I thought he was a prince from Kanchi :what: you do provide a different version. But of course, with each reply, everyone giving a separate source of his origin. I shall also provide one.

Damo was from Pakistan :D
:D exactly he was a resident of pindi, house number 786 pindi chana road, near baburrr bus stand.

It isn't a lie. There are a number of Kings in India who weren't Kshatriyas, and yet took up arms and became Kings. They'd later revoke their previous caste and adopt the Kshatriya varna. Here's an example of a King from my region.

I'm not debating the anomaly cases, if you follow, my argument relates back to the contradiction about Bodidharma caste in the article.

I know varnas from Vedic era and post-Vedic Brahmanism caste system are different.

See, there was no recorded account of Bodhidharma caste or precise origin, hence the all myths and the contradictions. And the article itself was a case in point.

So in the name of God drones reign supreme on the God's people.
Budda can be from anywhere, what does it matter?

ha ha :) if you keep an open mind and logically analyze the data you will be able to see the truth..

The truth is proven historical record. Nothing else.
All accounts of Bodidharma are derived from Chinese source, there is not any Indian historical record. His precise origin and caste is unknown or uncertain.

M post was meant indicate that it wasn't an anamoly in those days. He might well have been a brahmin who took up arms.

He might, but there isn't any proven historical record. My entire argument relates back to inconsistency in the article(cut n pasted) The other Indian guys took the argument completely out of context, and here we are.
