if they threat us in any way, we will shove a missile up their a**

Pakistan should have a High Speed Train connecting Peshawar, Islamabad, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan and Bhawalpur. Daily service once or twice a day depending on demand.

Any Suggestions Guys..... :pakistan::pakistan::pakistan::pakistan::pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

Sir A very good idea indeed, practical and feasible. Once i met with Khawaja Saad Rafique in marriage cermony and he was also talking about High speed train project but its part of long term planning with the help of some private sectors. i think its not going to happen in near future for example daewoo is investing billions of rupees in road construction for their own beneifits to shorten the roots to reach Islamabad- Lahore Motorway.

Costing an estimated 928 billion rubles, it will become so far the only true high-speed line in the country with trains hurtling along its tracks at up to 400 kilometers per hour. The trip from Kazan to Moscow, which today can take close to 13 hours, will be reduced to 3.5 hours. And it will take an hour on average to travel between major cities on the line.

Pakistan? :enjoy:

Pakistan first need to increase revenues, build huge dams, other important projects like Peshawar-Karachi Motorway. I think if by 2025 these projects are completed then Pakistan can think about bullet trains.

WHUT

What a commuter needs. 1. Punctuality of travel time. 2. Comfort. 3. Reasonable Fare.4. Reasonable travel time. 5 Availability of service with in 30 minutes (like Daewoo Bus).
My suggestion is to buy efficient rail cars capable to run with speed of 120Km/Hour and initially run them between Lahore-Islamabad or Lahore-Faisalabad with interval of 30-45 minutes. But do you think transport mafia will allow this?

i'm doing my bachelor in islamabad but i'm frm lahore .........every month i had to go home........i go through trainfrm pindi to lhr at 6 pm which take approx 4 or 4 and half hour.............i'm surprised that in 70's it take about 4 hourz frm pindi to lhr

Daewoo is already running at 100 KM/HR. Why even bother to run rail cars at same speed. We need something that runs faster so that Businessman can travel from Islamabad and reach Lahore in less than 2 hours and return back after conducting 8 hours of business, the same day.

We need to demolish this Transport Mafia.
Sir me as a student prefer to go through train bcz its cheap 340 rupees frm pindi to lhr and takes equal time as that of daweoo . Ma Sha Allah ab neyee dabbay lagaye gaye hain or ous ma electricity switch bhi hain in every apartment. and 6 bjaye wali train non stop so it takes 4 hours lkn 4:30 sa phlay phchti he.

Korea to build High Speed Trains for Pakistan Railways

The Bullet Train (Photo credit: Gene Hunt)

The Pakistani Stock Exchange has hit another high point–it keeps breaking previous records, and is in fact one of the best performing Stock Exchanges anywhere. The original contract with the Koreans for High Speed Bullet Trains was discussed by Mr. Nawaz Sharif during this second term in office.

Modernisation of Pakistan Railways,

Construction of the LNG terminal, and cooperation in banking sector, in a bid to further solidify their bilateral ties.

Prime Minister, while highlighting the immense investment potential in Pakistan, said that the country’s huge coal reserves of about 185 billion tons, its potential Hydel power, wind corridors and year round sunlight could be harnessed with Korean assistance by the setting up of coal fired power plants, dams, wind farms and solar plants.

Don't you think you should first invest in improving your existing railways and make it profitable??

100% agree.
1) cut the railway expenses by digitalizing it and removing ghost and incompetent employees.
2) improve existing infrastructure including railway track, stations and power supply network.
3) we need lighter weight more horsepower locomotives. We should work with Japan (because of quality products) or EU countries.
4) Ask Nawaz Sharif to build bullet train track between Lahore and Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar, and Lahore and Karachi. Also to donate 3 billon toward DAM funds, sign an agreement that he no longer be active in politics and he will spend rest of his life in Las Bela districts of Balochistan and will never return to Punjab. (Consider that as a NRO).
