No need.. Kerala had a trade relation with Arabs, Europeans, Egyptians and other civilized world even before the birth of Islam or Christianity and we had adopted several good things from other civilizations who had trade with us and made it as part of our culture.

the thing is it is getting heavly islamized with the wahabi version of islam because the expats who return are fundamentalists

Don't link it with religion unnecessarily. Language and culture are not bound by religions.

Just because we have malls like Centrestage mall, inorbit, crown plazas, etc, doesn't mean that this is influence of Christianity. It just means that we have cultural/linguistic (language) affinity to the English and therefore use these words.

In today's world, it is quite naive to expect that people will restrict their thinking and language to their own religion or region.. Even the British now comfortably use the words like Pulao, tikka, guru, maharaja, avatar, yoga, etc etc. It is not because they are becoming Hindus.. it is just a harmless mix of various cultures...

The only people who are not willing to accept a cultural/linguistic change are extreme right wing folks like the Taliban, Bajrang Dal, Sri Ram Sena, and the British parties like 'British National Party'.
