T-50 vs F-22 raptor

PAK-FA is only a paper plane with a dream to come true. It isn't funded well, and stealth isn't something that Russians are good at.

Not only Russians, but whole world is couple of generations behind the Americans in stealth technology. There is nothing on horizon that will be able to challenge Raptors in next 20 years, if not more. Raptors have already reached operational status and squadrons are deployed in Alaska and Virginia.

But i dont think that the T-50 would Challenge the RAPTOR. It would Challenge the F-35 and be superior to Typhoon. Making it the second best plane in the world. It is no longer underfunded. Russia now has more money than it ever dreamed of becuse of the excess cost of Oil. It made a Sh*t load of money on that. So Russia has all the money that it needs now. Its no longer dependent on India to fund its plans.

Sorry mate, but your point is not valid or well sourced. Just cause Russia is making big buck from oil, doesnt tell that T-50 or other military projects will be funded. There are other areas where the money will go. Plus, Russia has yet to modernize her own air force first to compete with the other top notch air forces.

yes i agree, but Russia got way more money than it actually had thought it would on the back of the oil price rise. They extra money according to many reports has gone into modernization of the Russian Armed Forces. Certainly it is prbable to think that some amount of money would have gone into the RnD sector as well. The money earned was huge, not chump-change.

Thus i think on the basis that the prices are now constantly high, there is a resurgent Russia. Obviously they would prefer that Indian Rs also flow in the projects but still. In any case, things would be clear on loads of things when Putin visits India in Jan. Many proposals are expected to be signed. Im very optimistic for the MTA.

Other than Gazprom, all other major oil companies are owned by pvt individuals.So i fail to see RF govt making money out of it other than thru taxes.

By the way Moscow has the maximum density of $ millionaires.

The Russians have a $60 billion defence budget. The Americans have a $400 billion one. The US spends $60 billion on research. I can't see the T-50 being superior to the Raptor. It'll definitely be better than the Eurofighter. It isn't likely to go up against the Raptor either. Pretty good from India's point of view. We ought to scrap the MCA and go all out for this. In some respects this wouldn't be that great. Advanced features like for example the Spectra Active Cancellation system will probably be absent.

Dont get me wrong what India has Russia needs aka better softwares mission computer developements, carbon fibres etc etc etc, What India lacks Russia has aka Engine, Airframe etc etc.

So if anything is signed it wont be restricted to financial assistance bro, I have gave you LCA link you should have read it what are the tech developed for it.

Over 5 countries wants to buy the Avionics developement system and FBW analysis developed with LCA.

But yes F22 match dream on till 2015 SPECIALLY RADAR!
If Israel is involved we can do it i think...

see thing about radar is "MINIATURIZATION" OF COMPUTATIONAL POWER on such small scale!
Big Challenge bro, you can make a house like radar with huge power but to provide same power on a small AESA is challenging!

I do have more than a clue. The F-35 will probably be technically superior to the F-22 but will not touch it in performance. The F-22 will reign the skies for the next two decades atleast. The F-22 is superior in most aspects, be it the radar, RCS, manoeurability(TVC), T/W ratio, range, internal and external payload etc. etc. The F-22 is at the top end of the spectrum. It costs twice the projected cost of the F-35.
