Induction of Balochistanis in Pak Army - All News

The 2nd Selection/Enrollment of Balochi individuals has commenced from 2 May 09, it will stay in progress till 20 May 09.

The following relaxations have been granted to the candidates of Balochistan Domicile holders:-

The above mentioned relaxations will be implemented for all arms and services, except following:

Tech in Sigs/EME Corps

CMP Corps (military police)

Recruitment currently being done at:-
Quetta
Loralai
Sibi
Khuzdar
Turbat

Moreover, Mobile Recruitment Teams (MRTs) would also visit remote areas of Balochistan for the purpose of recruitment.

Education Certificate (Original and Photocopy)

4 Passport Size Photos

Rs 50 as registration fee

In Balochistan, there are two systems i.e. 'Domicile' and 'Local'. Domicile certificate is for the residents of Balochistan who have been living in Balochistan for a very long period of time and is granted to non-Balochs and non-Pathans. Local certificate, on the other hand is only for the ethnic Balochs and Pathan who are not only the residents of Balochistan but also 'son of the soil'.

The above mentioned scheme would not specifically benefit Balochs, but to all the residents of Balochistan (based on their domicile certificate) that include all non-Baloch and Non-Pathans. Hence it is not correct to say that this scheme will tell Balochs that they are not ignored. If the recruitment criteria was specifically for the Balochs with Local certificate, than it was a different thing.

Yes, I agree with you, but I am in Punjab only I hear some disturbance in Bolichistan from media.....but I hope If there is any problem then this will be for very short time.

The problems are only made by those people who dont want Pakistan to prosper. First it were the sardars and now the 'wanna be' sardars. They need to be dealt properly!

No the problem is the GoP who is not recognizing the rights of the Balochs to govern their province and manage their own resources. First the GoP tried to change the demography of the Balochistan by allowing millions of Afghans into this province, now they are doing the same by selling of all their land in and near Gavadar.

Baloch Sardars are wrong but GoP is equally responsible for what is going on in Balochistan.

I have lived in Malaysia for good 4 years, and I have studies their system and how they avoid provencial disputes. I'll post about it once I get some time.

i wonder why didnt NWFP complained when 3 million afghans sneaked in there, and do you think with thousands of Pathans in Karachi changed the demography of Karachi, or for that matter you find every 'type' of Pakistani in Karachi, so did it alter the demography of the city.

It is said that if you stand for one hour at Times Square NY, you'll meet every nationality in the world there, so does it mean that the demography if NYian have been changed?

Why didnt the Punjabis revolted when PU was constructed

Why didnt the the Pathans revolted when three major training schools were built in Nowshera. As opposed to the problems being 'faced' by Balochs against the construction of cantonments.

I think one of the practical reasons why the Army's physical standards are lower for Baluchi conscripts is because Baluchistan is the most impoverish province of Pakistan, employment is low, health care is a major issue, and food quality there is poor. So it's really hard to expect our countrymen from our poorest parts to compete with our countrymen in the wealthiest or better to do parts.

If food quality and food supply is inadequate for long periods of time, people will tend to weigh less, shorter heights, smaller chest frame and etc...

Because most of the refugees were Pathans. Whereas a majority of Uzbaks, Tajiks infiltrated into Balochistan.

US is the nation of immigrants. This question should be asked from the Native Americans who's land was stolen than you’ll get the correct answer.

Very few Sindhis and most Karachites were immigrants by themselves.

Establishment of training schools does not change demography. Besides why exactly does PA want to establish more cantonments in Balochistan?
