a lot of similar threads running . also surprised how many Pakistani members here support the army stand . i would have though to keep democracy intact ,you could have taken out a protest (which are seen at a drop of a hat against India and US ) you could have forced the government to take notice . why let democracy be subverted?

That would be the worst decision the Army could make and knowing how the decision makers of the Army operate, i dont think the Army will intervene and remove the current government. The current Government knows that it is an absolute failure and has no chance of winning the next election due to its severe incompetence. This is why they are fingering the Army to intervene so they can proclaim themselves to the martyrs of democracy.

General Kayani is a professional and i have full confidence that he will not intervene to unseat the PM and President. Let the SC do its job as they will humiliate the PPP Government for their loot mar and ghunda gardi. Its about time that we stop implementing band aid solutions and cure the disease instead of illness.

i am going to guess you heard today about the drone strike P yep americans can do whatever they want i doubt our armed forces will even fight them if they invade i am not impressed by kiyani about this

Defence budget of Pakistan is equal to around only 1 month of expenses of NATO in Afghanistan. Do you know India's Defence budget is more than the total budget of Pakistan's budget. Do you know our defence budget doesn't exceed over 25% of the total budget? People say its 60% and that is a lie. Do you know in 2010-11 total Budget was over 3900 Billion Rupees out of which 440 Billion were for Defence. Whereas 400 Billion for losses and subsidy in Steel Mills, PIA, PEPCO etc. No one speaks about those 400 Billion and rest of the 1000 Billion which goes into corruption.
